USB Drivers,BIOS settings ,not what I wanted to hear 
Wish there was just a "click here to make it work " button
Guess I should try another USB device to check that it really is a USB problem rather than a Camera Software problem. This computer has never had a USB device on it so the USB driver thing is quite possible. I suppose that would stop a smartcard reader from working as well.
Maybe I will just fall back on Plan B of Emailing to the PC from my laptop.
