A300CS OLED Dive Computer

Doug, does this mean that the A300CS will be able to communicate/sync with Windows and Mac OS X via USB instead of bluetooth? I'm thinking also for 3rd party software like MacDive and Diving Log.

Yes. We're including USB mostly for firmware updates as transferring those files over bluetooth will take some time. The killer application for bluetooth is the interface with the iOS and Android apps - to download on location, tie in location and sharing capability - but mostly, for me anyway, is the ability to very simply setup and modify settings via the app and send them over to the A300 CS.

Now that I mention lens protectors - I realized that I hadn't addressed an earlier post. It seems that some of the first units out of production didn't include one. We're working on getting some off to the dealers that received the first shipments - but for any of you that didn't receive one in the box, please just PM your address and I'll get one in the mail to you right away.

Doug, is this functionality not working yet? I know you mentioned above, that the IOS for both Mac and iPhone/ iPad will be released respectively in June and July. I think you mean updated for the new computer, since both are available now in the App Store, but don't support the A300cs.

However, I have tried to use the Bluetooth function on both my iPad and iPhone and neither one recognize the A300cs. What do you think I am doing wrong? Or is this feature not supported yet?

Correct - updates to the Mac and iOS apps are to be released to be compatible with the A300 CS.

Great! This answers why I couldn't get it to work.

Do I still when a prize?

If these A300cs are supposed to come with a cover... I must have an early shipment, because there was not one in the box. Should I let the Dive Shop know these A300cs should have them, and to expect then shortly?

Please do let them know - we've got no easy way to email just those dealers that got them, but they'll receive them in the mail shortly. In the meantime, I'm happy to send a couple your way directly if you have plans to get in the water soon.

Windows Phones do not support yet BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). The hardware is there, but there are no libraries available.
Microsoft is 1 year behind Google and 2 years behind Apple in supporting BLE :depressed:
