Hi!

I just bought an Atmos LX bcd and used it for the 1st time at Lake Rawlings. There was a time when we were at about 15 feet, I started ascending. I tried to release some air but I accidentally touched the inflate button. It seemed like it stuck causing the bcd to inflate even more and I started a rapid ascent. I was able to pull the rear exhaust valve and stop my rapid ascent.

I understand that there was a recall on the Atmos XT. Is there a recall on the LX as well?

The inflator recall happened long before the LX came along. You said "seemed like it stuck". Was it continuing to inflate while you were on the surface? If so, how did you stop it? If not, I would suggest that you experienced a rapid expansion of air, from what you stated - you inadvertently pushed the inflate button. The only way to know for sure is to have it looked at.
