Hi Everyone!

I have been trying to decide on an underwater camera for the past few months now (570... 720... 570...720... GAH!) and just to make my decision harder, they have now come out with the A1000  I was looking at the Ikelite website, and it looks like they have a new case for the A1000, the ULTRAcompact 6241.10.

You all seem so knowledgeable and helpful, so I thought I would ask for some opinions on the newer models. I had been leaning towards the 570 because of the RAW hack, I don't believe they have hacked the 720 yet and I'm not sure how long it would take for a hack to come out for the A1000. I will be diving this December in the caribbean, and as my countdown clock is counting down :D I'm realizing that I should make a decision fairly soon! (Don't worry, I've read the 570 vs 720 thread, and I'm not asking for a comparison between the two ;)... I guess I'm just wondering if the newer model is really that much better then the 'tried and true')

I am a fairly new AOW diver, and I'm really looking forward to getting into UW photography. I had drooled over the G9, but I'm worried that if I flood the camera, there goes $500 down the drain and perhaps I should stick to a cheaper camera until I've gained some more experience.

I would appreciate any advice that you can send my way!
Thanks
Katdb

A570 still around. On Amazon.com it is very cheap. I got the watercase and the camera in a $300 package.
