I find it very curious that many varied threads here seem to turn into the same basic old argument. Is the training for a certain individual in a certain situation good enough? Some always think so and others don't.
I haven't been here long but I have already seen several threads go way off topic with this sort of endless bickering.I have started reading threads that I found to be interesting or amusing only to find myself wading through page after page of non-topic related arguments.I have also noticed that some of the same individuals are usually involved in said arguments.
Don't get me wrong, discussion of different view points is a good thing and we all can learn from it.This is one of the main goals of a forum in the first place. But to beat a dead horse is another.
I have 2 suggestions:
1.Moderators-Keep threads on topic.
2.Those who seem to never tire or learn from beating the horse-Start a thread and have it out to your heart's content.
I think this is a very good forum and I have learned a lot here.I know that as I continue with diving there will be much more to learn as I progress.I would just like to learn and decide for myself without running into the dead horse's butt all the time.

Everything you have brought up has been debated endlessly on this board for years.

Every suggestion you have made has been discussed countless times.

The reason things turn into a circle jerk is because diving is just not that complicated.

And so it goes…..
