I know that if you have one or the other you can use an adaptor. However I know many divers who have both a setup for Din and a Setup for Yoke. Why not transfer the Regulator, computer, and secondary to a different first stage? If you have a yoke setup but plan to use Din why not transfer over to a different first stage?

Because it's a pain in the butt. If you want to have a reg setup for each, just have one of each is the easiest way to do it.

What Jimmer said. After a while, you just collect several operational rigs, BC's, tanks, regs and worse.

A reg is a reg, a BC is a BC. Within certain operational parameters and mission specific applications, they all work the same. Got a DIN, got a yoke, what do I need today?

Another option is to get a reg that easily converts. My doubles are DIN, as are my MK17s that I use when diving doubles. For my single rig, I have a Legend LX which usually lives in its DIN form. With an allan key (remove DIN) and a large shifter (tighten yoke), its a yoke reg in about 30 seconds. And I don't have the discomfort of a bulky converter banging the back of my head. Just gotta be careful to keep the unused adapter in a sealed bag to deter contaminants and to avoid losing the filter.

I'm set up for DIN and have an adaptor...no big deal to swap from DIN to yoke cylinders! The adaptor isn't intrusive in any way.

DIN > A-clamp adaptor costs £10 or so.

Just have a nice set of DIN regs and screw the adaptor in if visiting anywhere that still lives in the 1960s and has non-convertable A-clamp tanks.

Fail to see the need for 2 separate setups.

The adaptor isn't intrusive in any way.

When I used my adapter in Hawaii I remember it being a bit intrusive. I couldn't look straight ahead while in proper trim without it hitting me in the back of my head.

My adaptor takes up no more space than a normal A-clamp first stage.

I too have my regulators setup as DIN. When I travel, the Yoke adapter is part of the kit. If the rental tank does not have a removable insert to allow a DIN regulator, it only takes a second to spin on the Yoke adapter. Not an issue to fret over IMHO.
