A rescue diver saying hello!

Hey everyone, Ill make this short and sweet. My names Jeremy, I live around Malibu area and I finally decided to register on this board + spearboard/divematrix, and stop lurking.

Im a rescue level padi diver looking to eventually move down the tech route along with a HEAVY desire to get into hunting (just bought my first gun today). I was supposed to be bug hunting this exact moment, but a buddy decided it wouldnt be fun waking up from his nap, so thats why I finally decided to log on here. Im also a medic, specifically I work on movies and television. Scuba was originally supposed to be a resume' buffer, but has now become an unhealthy obsession. Alright, thats enough about me.

If anyone is looking for a fully geared dive buddy for anything from shore to boat dives, Im always down. AND, if anyone wouldnt mind taking a baby spearo under their wing, I would be very happy to accept. One thing I will admit, I know I want to eat things that I can shoot, but dont know the first thing about how to get them on the spear. (I have a good amount of experience with shooting and gun safety, so dont worry I wont be looking down the end of a loaded muzzle)

Welcome aboard. You might want to check out the beach crabs we usualy have a dive going a weekend. Im trying to get one going this Sunday in the Malibu or PV area. You are more then welcome to join us. I don't hunt but don't have a problem with people that do, I see dead fish all the time.....

Welcome, hackk! I saw you over on DMX but was too lazy to respond....I'll stop being lazy! As FishNut mentioned, check out the Beach Crabs. We usually try to get something going each weekend. If you are interested in diving Vet's this weekend, there will be a decent sized group of people from DMX out there for the Wrinkles Dive.

My hubby and I do the occasional lobster diving, but I have to warn you, I have nicknamed us the "bad luck lobster hunters". If you are interested in going out some night, let me know and I'll see if we can join. He's also wanting to get into spearing as well, however he will be doing it purely on breath hold diving. I don't kill things, so if you're interested in going with him, shoot me a PM and I'll let him know. He gets on here occasionally, but he's a notorious forum lurker.

thanks for the welcome everyone! I will check out the beach crabs right now. I would take a trip to vets with you guys, but "unfortunetly" I will be in Catalina this weekend and next, sorry.
