Was wondering what cab fare from La Cieba to the Plaza is now. Been a couple of years.

Last time the cabbie wanted $3.00 US.

I just laughed and said $1.00, he grinned and away we went.

What is fair for the fare now?

....with all the commotion with the taxi's lately they have regular published fares. If I remember, LaCeiba to Central Plaza was $4. It's been a steady $3 fpr several years. The cabbies who will wheel and deal with you are almost non-existant now.

We just got back from Coz about 2 weeks ago; stayed at Casa del Mar (walking distance from La Cieba)..cabs were $5 each way to the Plaza! No wheeling and dealing either, believe me, I tried.

yeaow...must be the inflation thing.

We usually rent a car, and the last time I took a cab before last year was about 4 or 5 years ago. It was $2US for ride of about that distance.
