I purchased a Zeagle Ranger LTD on e-bay. From reading a post here on SB about the differences between the Ranger and the Ranger LTD, I was under the impression it would have a fitting to hook a hose to for rinsing it out. I also thought it would have an extra dump valve on the right shoulder. I don't see a fitting obviously for rinsing it out, nor does it have an extra dump valve. Do only the brand new Rangers have this? I think the one I purchased is a few years old although it looks new. I looked at the online Ranger documentation from Zeagle and they just don't even mention this at all. Any information would be appreciated.

Yep. The BX inflator is only a few years old and the shoulder dump was added just this year.

You can easily swap out the regular inflator for a BX inflator. Not expensive and definitely worth it IMO. It also isn't a "fitting", its a regular inflator that simply unscrews from the hose giving you the ability to screw a regular garden hose on the end to rinse the bladder.

My husband has a 2008 Ranger LTD and it does NOT have the right shoulder dump. That was a feature added to the 2009 model, along with changing it to grey/black instead of all black.

...with respect to the 'new feature' right shoulder dump....I've never noticed a need for that 'extra' feature....so I don't think you are really missing out on anything. My 'old' circa 2001 Ranger already has THREE dump valves as is...I can manage without a FOURTH one !

My ranger (2007) had a pull dump on the inflator hose, not a shoulder dump on the right side. If you have not used one before, you might not notice it at first. Just gently pull the hose and the dump valve built into the 90 elbow where the hose enter the wing will open.

It wasn't a big issue, I just thought it might be simpler and more efficient to just pull the cord rather than elevate the inflator hose in the upright position and then push a button. Like I said, No Big Deal.

Thanks. I manually inflated it and pulled on the inflator hose and it defiintely released air. I would probably never have discovered this on my own.

It took me a few dives to figure it out on my own also.
