How rare are Sailfish in Cozumel? Is this a migration thing or do they stick around. I would love to see one of them.

I suspect it's a migration thing. I have never seen one in before in all the dives I have done here. I have a friend who runs trips out of Cancun to snorkel with them, but I think it's only a winter time thing. They are probably just heading south???

Today's office photo is a little different. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Well, you can see that we have been extremely flattered by a competitor here on the island.

Well, hopefully the stick around a little longer.

My top thrill would be a hammerhead, I know they are extremely rare, and I would prefer it from a distance :).

Just put up a link that one of our great instructors, JP Maturana found on how to stay down longer and concerve your air. As I'm getting ready to head out with a student who's stated goal is exactly that, I thought it was appropriate.

It's interesting that they don't mention the easiest way to stay down longer: dive a bigger tank.

That is true, but it's a little like saying that the easiest way to lose weight is to cut off your legs. Or the easiest way to quit drinking is to sew your mouth closed. Sometimes the "easiest" is not the "best". :)

This is what my office looks like today while I'm doing paperwork. Everyone hates paperwork, but this makes it easier.
