Driving home from a client meeting today I saw this guy across from our house so stopped to see if he'd let me get close. He seemed pretty mellow but wasn't particularly cooperative in posing most of the time so I didn't get many frames...oh well, it was a pretty scene.

I like that "staring straight at you" pose. He's great -- it is a "he," isn't it?

We have a peahen who wanders around our neighborhood. The first time I saw her was right after Thanksgiving, and I thought I'd had WAY too much turkey.
