I am moving in to a new apartment building and will be short of storage area for my tanks. Im also taking time to enjoy some other topside hobbies. So I am selling my Faber 98 cf tank and will keep my 72 cf tank in my trunk. I hope to still be diving but not as much as I would like and dont have the luxury to keep a valuable item around that isnt used enough. Also, I dont plan on a lot of deep diving and have my pony if needed on deeper dives with the 72cf.

The tank stock hydro date was 2000 and it was last hydroed in 2005. It has a hydro plus (+) so the tank can be filled to 2650 PSI. Its current vis expires in August. It has a full fill of air at this time. The tank got a new OMS DIN valve in 2007 because when I converted to DIN, the yoke insert was frozen and would not come out. So with an insert ($5), the tank can accept a yoke regulator.

I would like to get $175.00 or BO for the tank and have someone meet me in CT maybe at the Portland Quarry ASAP to receive the tank.

First person who PM s me with an offer of $175.00 to get the tank this week has it but I will work with other potential buyers to arrange a sale. I can email a picture of the tank to a potential bidder. An actual offer (not an email inquiry) will be needed to reserve the sale. If I don't get a offer of 175, I will take the best offer by the end of June.

I also have a new C4 Sunlight (4 C batteries w/2 Incandescent bulbs) for sale for $35 as its been sitting in my closet unused for a year playing second fiddle to my LED C4. Same arrangement for the light.

I am in Middletown but do not want to pay 175

ED I wont quit diving, I love the water too much. Just need to lighten up on the gear a bit. I can easily do around the Island and to 80 ft on my 72 with a snorkel out. Too many times last year we planned to do 2 dives and only did one. I ended up a few times only using half the 98cf tank and it was a bit of a overkill IMO. Im pnly 142 lbs and that tank is a bit big for me. I can practically jog with the 72 cf Faber on my back.

Actually Ed, your pics have helped inspire me on a new hobby of digital nature photography using the mountain bike. That's why I wanted to know if your pics where with a DSLR camera as I think they are some of the best I've seen and magazine worthy to me. I'm using a Canon SX110 P-&-S and am really enjoying the pictures it takes.

Just don't see too much deep diving in the future as I bought the tank because we were doing a lot of deep wrecks at the time and assumed back then going deep was everything.

USMARINE just make an offer and Ill accept best offer by the end of June when I move out of this apartment. I understand not wanting to pay the ask and making a bid. You can always make a low bid and walk the bid up if you like. I'll post the bids as they come in.

If anyone sees a similar tank going for a lower price, let me know and I'll consider lowering the ask. I don't want to price myself out of a sale either.

I buy tanks-aluminum or steel.....I have no loyalty to either
I understand steels cost more -I have had several and I do not typically buy them anymore
Let the bidding start at 110.00
Hows that?
let me know if you want to go diving -I have a boat and go often-if I buy your tank it will be onboard for you to use!

OK Guy

First Tentative bid is at $110 as I wont force bidder to commit as I understand other tank deals may arise that the bidder may go for.

ill give you the 110 tomorrow
I am meeting another gentleman tomorrow and buying 3 63s and 1 30 for 260
aluminum s
eventually I will quit adding more stuff to my stuff

Hi,

ScubaSarus, thanks so much for your words. I'm so flatter about you starting serious business with photography. sorry did not respond before...I try not to post on my own posts...

Well, I pretty much have chosen the Canon line of cameras for my work. No good reason other than I have found easier to get good deals on the lens and accessories. I have several systems and yes all sDLR. I mostly use my Canon 20D for underwater cuz already have a housing for it. For land I recently sold my 5D which takes great photos....my hopes to buy the new 5D Mark II.

Although the small compact cameras do a very good job with photos. In general the SLR offer more versatility and options. If you are short in budget the 20D or 30D are great cameras at a very low price.

I hope this helps !
Ed

sure does Ed. Thanks

I sorta knew your pics where DSLR by their quality. I needed confirmation though.

Thanks again.

Just want to inform Im reducing the price to $150 and may consider a delivery to RI if I head out that way but a pickup someplace in CT even Southern, CT is possible.
