Subject: Cant take it anymore...

I can't take it anymore!!! tonight I have to take out my gear and smell them! Dammit... don't know what to do...
The more I look at the sunny day outside the more I can't wait to go.

obviously our minds are addled from lack of nitrogen.

HOW do you guys cope with prolonged 'surface interval'? I go diving once a month when the season is right, but it just doesn't seem enough.... ;-0

Sorry I had to rant.... I think I need professional help. We have diving docs, but I think the circumstances call for diving shrinks!

I'm going nuts :boom:

ONCE A MONTH OMG

We do at least 6 dives a week.
try do a night dive after work, the best destress there is.

Then either teaching or pleasure diving on the weekend.

Singapore is not exactly divers' paradise.... we have to travel quite a long way (at least 5 hours) to get to a decent dive spot.

If you really had withdrawal, even the murky waters around Pulau Hantu would seem attractive. Fish, coral, dead tractor tires, silt, 1m vis... what more could you ask for?!

Where are you off to, anyway?

Zept

Hantu this weekend, both days, doing Rescue Diver (aargh!). The weekend after I'm doing a liveaboard to the Kuantan wreck. Think we're going to be diving some of the Tioman sites on the way back. It'll be my first proper diving (ie, diving in see-through water) since I went to Sipadan at the end of June.

Wow I may see you in Tioman, then, Zept! My pic is in my profile, gimme a shout if you see me! (above or under water)... I'll be the one with the green NITROX label since I'm going there to do my Nitrox course :)

Do you dive Hantu often? With Marsden Bros, I presume?

I have not dived Hantu since my OW training dives in Jan 02. Would be interesting to go back and reminiscence (if I can see anything, that is, :) )

Will look out for you! I will be on the Oriental Queen, I think, although it changes every time I ask.

I guess I've been to Hantu (with Marsden Bros, yes) about eight times in the last year, sometimes for training dives, sometimes just for fun (!). I kind of like it. You go out there, you get wet, you come home again... no long boat trips or dive-resort dinners, and it's cheap. Nevertheless, I'm really hanging out for some blue water... eight days, as you say!

Have fun on your Nitrox course!

Sounds like a dive paradise to me. I guess it is all a matter of perspective. :) Take away some of the fish, all of the coral and make the water 9 degrees centigrade and I would be home! I guess what I am saying is... no sympathy here!
