7 eagle rays, gold lace, and a tiger cowrie..

great dives at firehouse today!
saw two large eagle rays on the first dive..
then a five-ship to end the second dive

also saw my first gold lace nudibranch..
and got to watch a huge tiger cowrie don its mantle..

and of course i swam thru all the cathedrals at firehouse :14:

Wow! I did two dives at Firehouse on Sunday! It was good, but not that good! Viz looks about the same. How deep did you get? Sounds like I need to get there on a weekday!

I feel those mental health issues coming on! Or perhaps just that Friday anal glaucoma - I just can't see myself getting my *** to work! Need a day of diving to cure that!

Very nice! I have seen a gold lace nudi there too! But I haven't seen the cowrie or the rays yet... just keep diving is what I say!

I must have missed you in the water, I did my 2nd dive there yesterday with 5 in tow. Nice shots! Keep up the good work!

Wow, great shots!! Those are the dives that we always remember, aren't they? The fact you got such great pictures is just icing on the cake!

Can't wait to be back in Hawaii to dive in December (on Maui though).

another great dive at firehouse today

right off at the start of the dive.. i found a six-ship formation of ULUA..
in this case.. 2 and 3 foot blue-fin trevaly..
they were doing several circles around me..
so close in fact..
"I HAD THE SHOT.. SO, I TOOK IT!"
[just to quote a movie from the '80's =]

too bad they were only photo shots
[*me/ needs to buy a spear-gun =]
and i think where i saw 'em.. they were just outside of the MLCD
tho'.. they were sooo hefty.. pro'ly would've taken me for a ride.. even if i did :11:

here are a couple more critters i saw down there today..

free swimmin' stout.. he kept swimmin' from rock to rock.. 'til he found a deep hole..

and here's a huge titan scorpion fish.. [not redundant.. 'biggest one i've seen!]
