6.9” tanks fit a 7.25 set of bands?

Well apparently dgx no longer carries the tank bands in 6.9”. However I have a couple web pages now that say the 7.25” bands fit the 6.9” LP72’s and give them the 8.5” center on center width for the isolator manifold. Is this correct?

I am not looking for a vintage style. I want a medium set of twins that I can also split and use for SM as well.
