Well its only 2 years old and 10 dives old so I would be very suprised if it needed a full rebuild and new hoses.
Visually its in excellent condition except for a dry suit inflator hose that was obviously a lot older than the rest of the rig.
I think I will forget the bungy idea. Sounds like its more of a hassle.
