I've read all the remarks about the 44 lbs total per person for flights to CZM. This scared me, no way could I make that limit! I had my Travel agent find out. Adventure Tours USA , MLT and Funjet out of DFW were trying to limit us to 44 lbs per person. However their luggage policy is 2 bag check in per person, EACH bag 44 lbs. This, I can adjust my packing to fit the limit. I even had MLT fax me a letter stating these facts, so when I check in there will be no hassel. I hope!
Continental Airline-2 bags, each bag limit 70 lbs.

I was a little concerned about this. But I realized that should such a policy be strictly enforced with high baggage fees or even excluded luggage, the business on that route would probably shut down. If I have to pay a reasonable excess baggage fee, I'll just have to suck that up and relook the value of Funjet trips.

If they try & inforce that they will have alot of unhappy passengers. And then they will have alot of empyt seats, as people go elsewhere. It is unreasonable.

So like what's the deal?? Are the airlines saving a gallon of fuel by dropping the the weight limit?? Do they think this is a positive customer relations act?

Airlines are so far off the mark no wonder they are dropping like flies....no pun intended
