**NEW LOCATION** Berryhill in the Heights. See details below.
There aren't enough superlatives to describe the Galapagos. The islands, which were pivotal in the inception of Darwin's theory of evolution, are home to 9,000 confirmed species of animals. Of those, 17 are endemic. It's a magical place where you can dive with whale sharks, see hundreds of hammerheads in the water at the same time, walk right up to fur seals, watch marine iguanas sneeze salt out of their nostrils, get a close look at some boobies (the blue-footed variety), confer with giant tortoises, and so much more.
For CHUM's October meeting, we'll be joined by David Lenderman, president of HUPS, who will share pictures and stories of his Galapagos adventures. David is a great story teller and a fantastic photographer, so this meeting is sure to be a treat.
Please join us on at 7:30 pm on Thursday, Oct 20th to enjoy David's entertaining and informative presentation.
Meeting Information:
David will be joining us in-person. Please come see it live with other CHUMmers.
As mentioned, we will NOT be at Jake's this month.
Instead please join us at Berryhill in the Heights, 702 E. 11th, Houston 77008.
There's plenty of parking both in front of and behind the restaurant and you'll feel like you're on vacation on Cozumel.
We'll do our best to broadcast it via Zoom as well, but please bear with us since we'll be getting used to a new location.
More details including Zoom login info can be found at this thread.
