Tired of seeing trash on our beaches, while boating, swimming, playing in our shoreline parks? Become part of the environmental movement to clean up our local beaches and enjoy the company of hundreds of like-minded friends. The 3rd Annual Orchard Beach Clean-Up is open to the public and (certified) scuba divers are especially welcome at this community event. We also need land-based clean-up crews, so bring your families and friends, young and old!
Prizes will be awarded for the most trash collected, as well as the most unusual trash found.

Contribute to a cleaner New York and celebrate your efforts at the get-together to follow the clean-up! All-day event opens to the public at 10:00 am.

Organizers: The Scuba Sports Club of Westchester County, NY and Captain Mike's Diving School of City Island, NY in cooperation with local dive clubs, diving organizations, and other dive- or outdoor-sports-related organizations.

Location: Orchard Beach is a public beach in the New York City borough of the Bronx. It is located in Pelham Bay Park on Long Island Sound.

Coordinates: 40°51'56"N 73°47'23"W
