Hi

On a recent trip to the Red Sea I was using 12l steel tanks which, considering their weight, I think were 300 bar tanks. (This is, I belive, approximately 127 cu ft, albeit roughly the same size as a 80-90 cu ft tank)
They were very heavy and thus not entirely suited to diving in a 3mm wetsuit.
I was wondering if anyone else had come across this.

cheers

I have dove the Red Sea twice aboard Royal Emperor and the only people who got the size tanks you indicated were those who specially requested them prior to the trip.

The rest of us were diving standard AL 80s.

However, exposure protection both times (end of Feb/beginning of March) varied from 5mm to drysuits. No one was wearing 3mm; the water was too cool for that thickness.
