Hi, I have a tg6 that I am pretty happy with but I am looking to change my tray. After 2 years one of the balls from the tray moves and this makes pretty hard for me to shoot pictures. The tray is an Hyperion that I purchased in Australia but now I an living in Switzerland.

I always had an s2000 and I have been happy shooting with it, mainly macro scenarios.

Now I am looking to switch for another tray and I end up looking for flex-arm website (for the trays.. I will still keep my clamps) and I saw a picture of a configuration with 3 strobes. I am currently looking to purchase a 2nd s2000 but most of the offers only sells X2 in my region. Is there a way how to have 2 strobes on the side + 1 from the top with a snoot cap ? Same as in the picture.

How is the optical cable connection done ? Is this configuration some kind of useful ?

I always shoot with the strobe coming from the top or from the side but as I don't have a lot of experience shooting with 2 strobes and I currently only see offers of people selling 2 of them at the same time I want to understand if having 3 strobes s2000 can be useful.

Thanks a lot for your help and sorry if this subject already has been shared in the forum, I couldn't find anything related.

Thanks ! 🙏

I'm going to say no. There are few justifiable uses for three strobes. The one exception would involve an off-camera remote strobe.

In my case I guess it would be better to go for 2x inon s2000 and 2x video lights ? I am struggling a bit to find what tray I should get that can scale up my configuration in the future years. Thanks for the advice and the feedback
