Hey everyone!

My family and I are taking a sailboat over to Catalina on Sunday for a few days and I was trying to figure out the best way to go about incorporating diving into our trip. There will be 3 (maybe 4) divers on board so I'm trying to figure out how we should handle the tank/air fill situation. I have thought about renting 3+ tanks from my LDS, taking them on the boat, and filling them on the island when needed, the rationale being that it would be nice to wake up and jump off the boat and dive first thing in the morning. The other option is to rent them on the island which lacks the previously mentioned aspect but helps to save space on the boat. Either way I'd have to get fills a few times, but I was wondering if anybody has any other ideas for how we should do it. Also, does anybody have any cool sites we should check out since we can go wherever we want? I'd hate to miss the opportunity to explore some off-the-beaten-path sites. Any input is appreciated and thanks in advance!

What I would do is use the sailboat to go to the island and then either dive the dive park or go on a dive boat. My experience has been that a sailboat does not make a good boat to dive from.
