Scored some free tickets to GCM for this fall. Looking to get in 3-4 dives a day while there.

Is it still just the usual suspects? Sunset House with 2am,1pm and Ocean Frontiers with 2am/2pm? Any new players I should be aware of? I really wanted to maybe try Cobalt Coast but it appears they are mostly a 2dives/day operation.

To do 4 dives a day, I think (?) you need to stick with Ocean Frontiers. I have seen other dive ops do 4 a day occasionally but, AFAIK, OF are the only ones who do it regularly.

deco martini,

I have done 4-5 dives per day on several occasions with Cayman Diving School, Cayman 6 Pack Divers Cayman Scuba Diving - Cayman Islands Scuba 6 Divers, I would send Renee Knight a message and see if she can help you out. PM me with questions. DiveTech does have a fantastic DPV dive in the afternoon from Cobalt Coast to Lighthouse Point that is a real blast.

Good diving, Craig

Funny you should bring up the DPV dive, we were looking at doing that one day no matter we where stay and who we dive with.

We're doing three dives a day. We do an a.m. two tank boat dive and a shore dive in the afternoon. I dove with Cayman Diving School on their six-pack boat this past Tuesday. I would recommend them. Dove with Ocean Frontiers on the other side of the island yesterday and they are also good, although it was a good 60 minute drive from the middle of Seven Mile Beach to get there. The reef had richer corals on the East Side than the West, but the number of fish in our limited experience here was the same. The whole family really enjoyed our afternoon shore dive behind the Cracked Conch. Nice wall, easy swim, 40 - 60 foot depth. Highly recommended as there is a school of large tarpon hanging out there now.

You'll really like the DiveTech DPV dive. Renee at 6 Pack has DPVs also. Last year we did an hour dive on the West Side from Sand Chute to Little Tunnels (that's about 8 mooring balls to the North), one of the best dives I've had, absolutely dazzling. If you end up diving with Renee, please pass on regards from Jeff & Craig.

Good diving, Craig

The Tarpon hang out to the left/South if you shore dive at Turtle Reef from Sun Divers/The Cracked Conch. The dive to the right is great also.

We wound up booking OF. They have plenty of dives scheduled, and we got the "buddy dives free" special for low season. Yay.

This is our fifth trip to the caymans. The one thing we really haven't done is shore dive. We did the mermaid from sunset house and weren't really enthused much by it. Is there some key shore dive we should make sure to do while there?
