Okay i have a question, it might sound stupid, but can you convert a normal second stage into an octopus. it seems to me all you have to do is retune it so it wont freeflow. is this correct? i just bought a oz titanium and am considering making it an octopus on my mk17/s600 setup. thanks

yeah, exactly

an octopus is just a backup second stage

Yup, longer brightly colored hose and have it de-tuned and hook it up! I've done it a few times.

BrianV:
Longer hose, yellow hose, and maybe some paint for the outside of the reg.
and if you dont have spray paint, just write "OCTO" with a sharpy!
