It's a good idea to carry extra gear on extended trips, I bet that most of us do. However, routinely wearing an extra pressure gauge seems excessive. The dial gauges are fairly delicate. Dropping a gauge can cause the internal gears to jolt out of alignment. The small internal stem which allows the gauge to rotate on the hose fitting is about as strong as a matchstick. The bourdon tube which drives the dial will sometimes leak air. The rubber plug which relieves pressure in case of bourdon tube failure will sometimes leak seawater. Before the addition of the plug in the late 70's, a leaky bourdon tube would cause the gauge face to blow off. I saw this happen twice.
Wear a single pressure gauge, digital or analog. Wear a watch also, and be prepared to estimate your air supply and deco status if necessary.
