For the 2007 calendar year we'll start planning earlier, so our schedule will be more evenly distributed.

I've listed each of the boats for each month with links to their planning threads here. Just click on the name of the boat and it will lead you to the planning thread for that month's dive.

Since, there is more planning involved for people on boat dives. I've created all of the planning threads for the entire year in advance. We can link to them all from this sticky post for easy reference. Of course, they will all be used simultaneously as needed, but only one will be made sticky at a time. The only planning thread that will be made sticky at the top of this forum will be the one for the trip coming up next.

The only boat that I have not had final confirmation from is the Spectre. They are out until after the first of the year.

Don't wait until the last minute to sign up for any of these boats.

Remember that each of these boats is working on filling these open boats just like we are. If a shop comes along in February that wants to fill an October boat and we have only taken 3 spots. The rest of those spots will be sold. That's the only way that we can work with these boats and not make a financial commitment to them up front.

I've already given my credit card number to all of these boats to hold a spot for me. Keep in mind that they only use the card to hold the spot and will only charge it on the day of the trip, so if you book these trips now for the whole year, you won't be charged for a year's worth of boat diving all at once.

Note all dates are on the 4th Saturday of the month unless otherwise specified.

January 28 - Ventura - Peace (Anacapa)

February 25 - Ventura - Spectre (Anacapa)

March 25 - Los Angeles - Pacific Star (Catalina)

April 22 - Los Angeles - The Sundiver (Catalina)

May 27 - Los Angeles - The Sundiver (Catalina)

June 24 - Los Angeles - The Sundiver (Catalina)

July 23 (NOTE: this is a Sunday) - Los Angeles - The Magician (Catalina)

August 19 (NOTE: 3rd Saturday) - San Diego - Lois Ann (Coronados Islands)

September 23 - Los Angeles - The Sundiver (Catalina)

October 21 (NOTE: 3rd Saturday) - San Diego - Lois Ann (The Ruby E, Naval Electronics Lab ("The Tower"), 7 Fathom Pinnacles)

This month concluded the final Mo2vation Boat Dive for 2006.

It was a great year and a whole lot of fun was had!

I'm in the process of trying to put together the 2007 Mo2vation Boat Dive schedule and based on availability of boats the lineup will change a bit. Some of the boats that we used this year are already booked and unavailable for next year, so we will be adding other boats to the line up as necessary.

I'm hoping to have the schedule done within the next 2 weeks. This will depend on being able to contact the boats' owners, so the timeline might move on us a bit.

For 2007, I'm looking into putting together some "limited load" trips to give us a bit more room on the boat for just a slight increase in price. This is based on feedback that many of you gave me throughout this year telling me that you would be interested in this.

Thanks to all of you for making this "experiment" a successful reality.

We had 9 out of 10 boats that we planned for that were happy with having us on board. The 10th just did not take place because as a group we waited too long to make reservations and the boat was chartered out from under us. That was the arrangement we made and the boat was fair game for whoever committed to it first.

So, this year proved that we can use our numbers to be a positive force in the local dive boat industry and get a great deal in the process.

I look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Christian

I big thanks to you Christian for putting all this together.

Thank You

CHristian,

Thanks for the hard work Christian, those boats can be hard to get a hold of :losecool: when the crew is on land so I'm sure you spent an insane amount of time on the phone on our behalf and we appreciate it. We'll definately have to raise a :beerchug: to you on Avalon next month. Thanks dude you kick :mooner: !!!

I can't wait for the 2007 dives to start!

Hmm, I guess that just means I'll have to get out there without any official gathering. ;)

Thanks for the 2006 dives, though, even though I only made it to a couple. I'll try harder in '07!

Christian...thanks for all you do!!

I'm quitting my Saturday job as of December 2, 2006, so I'm hoping to be on more Mo2vation dives with you in 2007!!! :D

Thank you all for your kind words of appreciation!

Christian

So, when do we get to see the 2007 schedule? :10:
