I just don't log dives
Last month, I did my first boat dive in Bonaire. The surge from Hurricane Tomas was horrendous. Deck planks were taken up on the docks.

Anyway, Terry said she would feel better on a boat, as opposed to a shore entry. We scheduled 2 dives with Buddy. However, they only do 1 tank at a time, and it was 3 PM before we finished up the 2nd dive, and were back at the condo. The dives, boat, and crew were great, but it ate up too much of the day.

Anyway, Terry opted to shore the dive the next day. She broke her ankle. With her ankle and rehabilitation in 2011, she will only be able to do boat dives. Does anyone know of any ops that go out with 2 tanks PP, and are back in the 12-1 PM range?

Tanks,

Tad

Buddys does two tank dives. Nov 15 our first dive was at 9:12 and the second started at 11:08. Our third dive that day was a shore dive at Weber's Joy and started at 1:55. They also offer a three tank charter to the National park once a week if six or more divers are interested.

+1 for Toucan. We dove several days with them and were always back for lunch - including out to Klein and as far north as Rappel. Most days we were back by noon. They do leave promptly also.

Slightly smaller boats so smaller groups also - the most all week was 11 - usually just 8 of us. Nice boats with good swim steps also. This is Purple Rain - our boat all week. (not my photo)

When I was at the Divi Flamingo 2 1/2 years ago, we did 2 boat dives in the morning, and one in the afternoon. Good luck.

+1 for Toucan. They leave at 8:30, back for lunch, good DMs

Another vote for Toucan Diving. We have dove with them on three trips and always been great.
The DMs are excellant and know where the seahorse and frog fish can be found.

Yes, Divi still does 2 tanks in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. We were back by Noon. I thought they did a good job, but of course, I have no one else in Bonaire to compare them to and we dove all week with them. I heard that Buddy only does 1 tank and that surprised me. I don't get why any operator would do that. 2 tank boat dive in the morning, along with shore diving in the afternoon, especially on the house reef, sounds like a perfect dive vacation.
