Monday August 15th, while diving at Larrys Lair we had our dive books stolen from our car. Along with a few non-important items. ( Half drank bottles of Gatorade... go figure?)

I am hoping that someone might hear something about the books.

Please, don't bother with the 'never leave anything valuable in your car'. (Shutting the barn door after the horse is gone) Because that is not really helping me. I am hoping that someone might find, hear of, know of, etc..any info on these 2 dive books.

Other than our books being taken on our very 1st day of diving, we had a great time! Diving was great & I will post a trip report later in the week.

sorry about your logbooks, hope you find them

i'd be pretty upset if i lost mine

Yeah, it's very depressing. Walked the roadside from Windsock to Salt Pier Monday afternoon & most of Tuesday, hoping they'd been discarded. Then drove slowly the rest of the way around, with our flashers on. Getting out & seaching various areas. On Wed. morning I had a good cry. (like that helped) We told everyone we met about what happened. So I am hoping someone finds at least one of them.

Why would anyone want to steal books..Hmmm that's interesting and a bottle of gatorade...guess they got thirsty. Hope you find them and sorry to hear about that.

I keep saying I am going to make a copy of mine and leave it home. Maybe I actually will now.

Me too Tim.

Just before we got out of the car I looked at how some pages were becoming water damaged and worn. I thought that I shouldn't be bringing the original book with me anymore. I planned on photo coping the pages & then laminating the originals, when I got back home.

Now my big project is trying to remember where and when we dove & the details of the dives. At least some of it will be here on the boards, in my old trip reports.
