always sad...

i wonder if the second man was scuba diving?

Were these accidents or health related issues?... thats always a question I have.

Certainly unfortunate. Condolences to the loved ones.

My prayers to the families.

Dave

As widely reported in local Cayman media, the two cases were entirely unrelated.

The first man was scuba diving at Sunset House. Reportedly he was with his buddy. The diver got into distress (unknown how or why) and his buddy signaled for help. An employee from Sunset House swam out, towed him in, and performed CPR until the ambulance arrived.

In the second instance the man was on a snorkel trip - no scuba involved - at or near the Stingray Sandbar. He was visiting the island by cruise ship.

Unfortunately the police car carrying the second man's wife to the hospital was involved in a car crash enroute. No one was injured in that crash.

The RCIP expressed condolances to families of both victims.

Condolences to all the friends and families of the diver and snorkler!!!!
