Thanks Dee, your comments are always welcome. Nice pics with your new 5050. Getting rid of the 4040:consp:? Anyway..go diving soon so we can see some UW 5050 pics.

No....the 4040 is family! LOL! Beast is taking the 4040 and we'll sell his 3040/PT-10.

I'd love to take the new camera diving to provide you with more U/W photos! I'm waiting today for my housing to be delivered. But unless you like green water pictures, it will be April before I get into clear salt water again.

The first dive, I had the assistance of an AQ/S stobe. After the 2nd dive something came loose inside and is rattling around. The rest of the dive was solely on ambient light + internal strobe. I got my settings from Peter Shultz @

Thanks to all the folks on this board that coaxed me toward the Oly. I have already had more fun out of it than I ever dreamed!

Here is the 1st pics with my Oly 5050 in open water. This is a quarry that is nearby. You can see the difference in running some of the shot through PhotoShop Elements with the default level setting.

This is the first time ever - testing it in a pool with some friends. (Incidentally, this guy is getting his OW cert as a result of this photo shoot - ha!)
