Thanks CLC.

Now I can Acctualy use the Computer. Am going to go find a replacement battery just in case the one inside is not so good

Battery replacement on these is a snap if you have the round door on the side. Mine is from 1994 and has been in use every year since then with no problems.

In my opinion this is one of the best computers ever produced for basic recreational diving, it was rebranded by so many manufacturers that I forget now, super reliable, long battery life, easy to read and understand - you dont need a manual dive with it once and you will know everything there is - keep it, it will serve you well for a long, long, time to come.

Those units have an easily changeable battery as you now obviously have found out and only weak point on the computer was where the straps attach to the module via a long SS pin, with the strap movement and age the strap can and often do's perish along the join, keep an eye there so you dont lose the unit, but other than that - great, great little computer.

Havent been on for a while. but am now qualified. and used the computer. Its all I need. Had the strap replaced last week as, as you said widget, it started coming apart on a dive, saved it by getting my buddy to remove it and put it in my BCD pocket.

I have had many different dive computers and now dive a Luna but I still have the Uwatec Aladin Sport as a backup. Great basic computer.
