All measurements with battery you have to made with ''active or dynamic'' load (very important is internal resistance which changes during lifetime )
You must have intelligent battery charger to recognise build in BMS in battery and adapt at it ( these have usually special ports for charging with ( n+1) connectors depend on battery size also for 1S ) .These chargers also have build in active load . They made curve/graph during discharging battery and also between charging and made that way a few cycles . Program inside compare these curves and optimize charging for choosen battery . Some of them also write parameters and log to the BID chip (battery identification chip )
Digital charger it is just charger that have pre programmed charging curve depending on battery type and follows it measuring tension and it is low cost
