In any case, assuming the first stages are both set at the same IP and both are working properly, there is no way you can tell the difference between them when connected to the same second stage. As long as the same IP and flow is in the hose, the second stage does not "care" what brand, make or model of first stage is supplying it. While there may be some first stage differences at full flow, no one can breath a first stage that hard so that does not matter in the real world. Bottom line is, go with what you like, the first stage will not make any difference.
