The 100th dive is a big mile stone for most divers so how did you, or are you going to celebrate your 100th Dive.

Hope you minded your equipment to minimize the dangles.....

Dont have to worry about the dangles in Ontario this time of the year. Water is about 45 degees F. Best form of birth control. LOL:D

I am fond of numbers (quiet Pete). As a result, things like this are important (relatively) to me and I try to plan location and buddies with care.

My 100th dive was approaching, so I planned to dive it on my favorite site. I skipped a couple of dives to make the numbers come out right. Then, some idiot dropped a fin overboard. Guess who got the job?

Thinking back, while they are all logged, I remember few of my century marks. # 7 stands out because I was making a night dive on a very old wreck in the Bahamas with my brother and sister in law. #10 is unforgetable because my friends conspired to make it so, giving me a packet of gifts at 100 ft, including a bottle of water collected on the dive and an engraved hip flask filled with brandy. A few others stand out for one reason or another.

Why nude on dive 100? Everyone knows it's dive 69 that is the mandatory nude dive.

I'm gonna go look through my old log books because I don't remember 100.

Was a great dive. I was in the Keys with my Scout Troop and enjoying the camping. I went diving with two great friends, Jack and Kathy Dearing, my best buddy, Donna, and my second best buddy, Walter. We dove with Quiescence. I am at work so I can't remember the location, but it was a keys dive with good weather and I remember having a blast.

By the way Walter knows Donna is my best buddy.

Dennis,

If it was the first dive of the day it was NN Dry Rocks. If it was the second dive it was the Elbow. We are 4 days shy of it being 2 years ago.

Shrinkage defined. Seinfeld would be proud of you Bubble Boy. Bubby boy? Jerry is that you?

My 100th dive was spent on a secret wreck ( secret at the time), the Langham, in Lake Superior. It's nothing special today but we thought so then, which was all that mattered.

#100 - April 25, 1999

We had planned a trip to Cozumel for that magic first century mark but life got in the way and it had to be cancelled. So my 100th was done at Lake Travis in Austin, Texas. I was divemastering an AOW class and that particular dive was the deep dive. From my logbook....

"Students at 102 ft. Cracked raw eggs for pressure demo, students given math and puzzle test. Headlight worked out fine and all students did well in the dark and cold water. Good skills demonstrated.

Doug dropped back and gave me a thumbs up and "Congrats on your 100th" written on his slate. Maybe not the planned dive for 100th but it meant more than a pretty dive somewhere."

The way things have worked out since then, every century dive has been on our yearly trip to Roatan. Each one has been on a favorite reef and with good friends.

#200 - 4/7/00 - Calvins Crack
#300 - 3/15/01 - CoCo View Wall
#400 - 3/29/02 - Drift dive covering Parrot Tree to Pirates Point
#500 - Projected date...4/14/03 unless I break hibernation and dive this winter.
