I'd get the HP100. You get more air and better trim and comfort than with Al tank. This change will make your diving more pleasant. Later you can buy a pony tank.

What is your main objective? More bottom time, getting back on deck with more reserve, 100% redundancy because you are concerned over a regulator or cylinder failure? Are you diving in conditions that would prevent you from making a direct ascent to the surface? How deep? Decompression? How important is weight to you?

Would it be a second tank if you sell the regulator and buy a 100 FT³ cylinder? If yes, will you likely encounter decompression on additional dives that you can’t make now? Hopefully, answering these questions will help to reveal the least painful compromise.
