Terrible. We're probably still not hearing the full toll from this event. They seemed to say that the tsunami followed close after the earthquake so warning buoys were likely irrelevant anyway.
 
I was diving in Donggala back in May. Managed to get in touch with the dive crew from Prince John Dive Resort in Donggala (the only dive shop in the area) and they are doing ok. Both Palu and Donggala are in really bad shape and they are in desperate need of food, supplies and fuels. Prayers to the ppl in that region. Things are quite bleak over there.
 
I came here for news. Thank you to posters. A reminder to recreational divers of the challenges that their dive guides and families face.
