Yes exactly that is what I think happen. At the end, technically speaking, the force of the buoyond air also generate a pressure when pushing on the surface of the opening mechanism. But not because in the suit is an over pressure.
Maybe your explanation helps others to understand my question...
Yes preasure is not even ditributed which im aware of. When the air is "transferd" to a different, for example a higher position, in the suit the volume is expanding (p*V=const). So no overpreasure is generated if i dive with a "normal" filled suite. Which force opens the valve when at the valve...
This video i already saw. But i think i does not answer the question or i do not understand it. But it got me thinking. If preasure inside the suite = ambient preasure then only the buoyancy force of the air itself could open the valve.
Basicly i know what a Dumpvalve do. What Im interested in is the technical princip how this is working.
Maybe I should more specific "How does the automatic opening of the dump valve work?"
Hello together,
till now I thought the dump valve is basicly an overpreassure valve. But for some time I think how is the overpreasure generated? In my understanding the preasure inside of the dry suite is equal to the ambient pressure because the suite have no solid structure. If i change...
Waiting for Suunto to bring any updates to their device is futile. Resign yourself to the fact that updates are not a priority for Suunto. I sold my Suunto Eon Steel a long time ago and never regretted that decision.
In fact, I dive sidemount with a longhose. So my question is not about myself. I find the question interesting and would like to know what the reasons are for the two options. In Germany, I rarely see anyone diving specifically with an H valve, but a redundant 1st stage is actually now standard...
Thank you for your explanation. You show some things that I have not yet considered. Unfortunately, the longhose is "demonized" in my diving club. Basically, this can also be transferred to a configuration with short hose or am I missing something?
I think to know what works best for you, it is...
Hello together,
last week there was a discussion in my diving club how the pressure gauge should be mounted for cold water diving. My instructor is of the opinion that it should be mounted on the primary first stage. Unfortunately, I do not see any advantage in this and when asked, they could...
I have the watch. They claim that Buhmann ZH-L 16c is used. Unfortunately, I can not say which gradient factors are used because they can not be freely selected. I have dived the watch together with my perdix, but I can not say anything about it because I have only made one dive. The build...
I also have a full beard and actually have no problem with water running into my mask. Did you have your regulator in your mouth when you bought your mask? The face shape changes a bit and that can of course also be a reason why a mask is not 100% tight.
I use this configuration exclusively for sidemount diving. The hose length is 15cm (~6 inch) which is what i think actually standard. If you want to dive backmount, the hose should of course be longer.
Under the following link you will find the origin of the idea.
Hose setup..need advice!
I agree that the hardware is well-made and the display is easy to read, but I think you can expect that when you buy a device in this price segment. Nevertheless, on their homepage they advertise that new features will be added due to the update capability. If you look at the updates since the...
