I'm actually in the process of cleaning out and selling about 10 tanks. I'm in long beach.
Lmk if your interested. We can discuss pricing and other details if you are.
If conditions are that bad at the surface, a negative entry may of helped. To get below the surface chop. Ofc letting ur dm know before doing it and being trained/experienced in doing it are musts. However if you couldn't get to the line, u would have to surface and abort as well.
If current or...
Does anyone know how reliable and fast the internet will be at the resorts?
It'll be hard for me to be on vacation 2 weeks straight unless I'm working partially or some days.
@MacDuyver I almost never take a hot fill because of this. Leave the tank and come back the next day or atleast a few hours later.
Typically they will fill it twice. (1) fill it and hits 3000 PSI HOT/warm, once it cools down (2) fill it again to 3000 PSI and not hot.
@Boarderguy @SlugLife O ok I wasn't thinking of pony bottles at all. I don't ever use a pony.
I often take a steel 130 so I don't need to worry about air. If I was ever worried about redundancy, I tend to just sling an AL80. I'm guessing whipping AL80s don't have much of a benefit?
What's the pros/cons? I mainly use steels and I believe VIP is useless unless I think I got water in the tanks. However, what if the tanks are out of hydro. Using a whip also won't get you much more than half a fill?
My gf and I use ocean reef g divers that's has a bunch of add-ons. Scuba.com will get you any part you need.
I recommend you call or chat with them. Provide the link. They'll figure out if you need small or regular, if you tell them you don't know. My guess it's the mouth piece size.
I think the dive crew should of been more supportive after the dive, but i think this is more typical. Unless your complaining about pain, they don't tend to pay too much attention after an incident. I'm sure they see something like this often for OW students. Not to say they shouldn't been more...
@KathyV @tmrqs i looked at both the locations. The total cost was more then i want to spend. We are already going to roatan for summer, so i don't really want to drop another 6k for the both of us.
@living4experiences Thanks for that tidbit. I checked when school started again for my gf and we...
I'm in LA, California. Looking to go diving somewhere warm for the Christmas break. I was wondering if people had a "go to" dive destination? Warm, decent viz, not breaking the bank for the trip. What locations do ya'll like? Cozumel seemed like one of those places.
I was looking at SEA and it...
I'm guessing off memory here, but i'm pretty sure a deco manual will have a more exhaustive list of symptoms for DCS vs an AOW manual. So you can take a look at that.
I never got a hit. But i would note, sometimes it's an undeserved hit so be cautious symptoms for any reason.
Sorry not really going to answer your question specifically. If you are an international traveler, i highly recommend getting a Charles Schwab account. It's free and you can put money in it. Then you can use the card to grab cash via ATM anywhere in the world.
Here's the kicker, they will pay...
@marsh9077 I'm looking at buying some gear online in some EU countries. However, the price includes taxes. How do i know what the VAT value will be and that it will be removed? Do i have to contact them or does the VAT get removed some other way?
Make sure you strap it on in the correct order, it's centered, you don't over tighten it, your hair isn't between the seal and your face
Sounds very simple but I think it takes about 10-30 dives to figure out how to do this correctly consistently
