    New to panhandle advice?

Curious, Are there typically buoy balls and down lines to hook up to at the wrecks, or is it a GPS and live drop and pickup for the divers?

    New to panhandle advice?

The boat is a certainty I just sold my existing aluminum jet boat here knowing it was not worthy of moving to use in the gulf. So that money is aready set aside for that investment. Kayak diving sounds like a thing to investigate!

    New to panhandle advice?

Thanks for that, however I'm not a cave guy. I like the ocean, or even big lakes. I've spent a lot of time in the cenotes in Mexico and thats okay with me in small doses taking other divers never having expeirenced them. As a regular type of diving its not my thing

    Divers Diary questions

Divers diary is not OEM software it's a genetic program app So no computer explanation of the icons exists that I can find. Mares uses this program but I don't see a list of icons or instructions in anything from mares that I have or can find on line.

    Divers Diary questions

Is there anything in writing that can explain a few things, or provide icon definitions? Like a red triangle on a line that would be ascending? I assume that means greater than 30ft/second? I cannot find an index of symbols anyplace?

    Shearwater Perdix AI question

Hi folks, I'm going to pull the trigger on an AI computer this month. Been tossing around the options between Suunto Eon, Mares Icon, ScubaPro G2, and the Shearwater Perdix. It really has come down to only two of these, the G2 and the Perdix. With the Perdix AI leading the pack for me. The G2...

    Nanaimo BC diving last week

Well, we had a great week of diving. My wife is a very new diver with 12 dives when we arrived, but she really got a lot of good experience this week. We also had the absolute pleasure of diving with the author Andy Lamb on the boat! He is not only incredibly knowlegable about PNW sea life but a...

    Alki cove 2 6/12/17

The first 30 meters from shore, or 7-10 meters deep was poor, almost zero vis closer to the taxi dock buoys. ( 25-30 ft) ha ha sorry for the metric measure. Once we managed 50 feet deep so long as nobody touched the bottom it was really nice.

    Aquarium dive in Newport Oregon

Anyone done this aquarium dive? Sound interesting. I think it's near Newport oregon. The tank is filled with fish and 27 feet deep. I think it's on the list for me. Never dove in a giant fish tank before. Might be a fun one time deal to feed the fish by hand and see those big sharks and sturgeon...
