Paralenz - An action camera dedicated diving

I myself use an Canon S110 and my wife is using an older Canon, can't remember the model, and she's always wanted to switch to a Gopro. I'm thinking this might be a better alternative for her and I'm definitely liking some of the features. Their website says that they are only doing presales...

Paralenz - An action camera dedicated diving

Anyone have any thoughts on these? I'm thinking about getting one. I like the fact that they adjust white balance at depth and the tethering looks kind of cool. The dive logging is also interesting however most dive computer software will already do the same thing...

    Aeris A300, a first computer

I have an older Aeris XR1 that's been retired for a while now. It served me well and I have no complaints. The A300 looks like the updated version.

Student dead - West Vancouver, British Columbia

My condolences to the family. Our sport is extreme to say the least and a loss of life is never something as divers we want to hear. Hopefully at least when the accident details are learned future accidents can be avoided.

    a few restaurant questions

An other plus to La / Casa mission is their house lime soup. It comes free with each meal, with chips and salsa of coarse, and I just got to have it on the island. My wife has tried to copy it with no success :( Crap, all this talk is making me really miss coz :)

    a few restaurant questions

Our go to place in Coz for seafood is La Mission. It's casual and we can just walk in. It's a half block off the main strip. If you want a fancy night out they have a fancier restaurant call Casa Mission. You'll want to book for Casa and dress up a bit is recommended. And if you go to either...

To buy a regulator, or keep renting

My vote is to buy. To me using someones regulator is like wearing someones underwear. During of my open water dives years ago I was on the boat going to my next dive when I noticed a white foam around the mouth piece. Yuck. As soon as I got back home, off to the dive shop to purchase a reg...

Man looses testicals in Scuba cylinder Rupture in Canada

I will never understand why some people feel it's ok to play with compressed gas. Well being a fellow diver I do wish him a speedy recovery.

I'm boring. I just use my real name on these types of boards.

How many of you love diving with your spouse?

I am a lucky man that my wife loves diving as much as myself. I can think of no other person I would dive or buddy with then my wife. She was the one who suggested that we take up diving after snorkeling for so many years and she has always been at my side for all my dives. There is no one...
