    DUI rock boot sizing question

So I ordered some size 10 dui rock boots (in Australia from USA, took a month to arrive!) and I went off my shoe size which is USA 9.5/UK 8.5. The boots arrived and they're absolutely huge, I can fit my index and middle finger between my heel and the rear of the boot. Here's what they look like...

    Dive Rite EX35 - Awesome?

When the metal gets hot, having extra surface area that is cooled by water touching it, much like heat to air transfer, but obviously water is a much better insulator than air. I can clarify that the light head becomes very hot out of the water but has next to no heat in water.

    Dive Rite EX35 - Awesome?

When I say I couldn't see it, that was when looking forward. Not sure what brightness or focus level he was running.

    Dive Rite EX35 - Awesome?

I got one start of last year, only got to use it a couple times. Finally got to take it into some caves this year and it's amazing. It's so damn bright that when I'm leading the dives I couldn't see my buddy's Halcyon Focus 2.0. When not leading I ran in 75% or 50% otherwise too bright.

    Garmin Descent MK2

That's what I was talking about. But with the Descent showing the seconds, it sometimes slows them down so you can see that exactly. I had a friend who had forgotten to turn off his 100% and his time was changing really slowly.

    Garmin Descent MK2

I have a Perdix and a Descent. They ran the same deco profiles. The descent is fantastic, I like the fact that during deco it shows the seconds along with the minutes, so you know exactly where you're at, unlike Shearwater where sometimes 1 minute of deco can be 3 minutes and there's no way to...

Solutions for leaking silicone wrist seals needed!

Hello! I forgot I made this thread. So it turns out that due to the thick overlap on the seams of my suit, there was a leak on the left side. The shop pressure tested it to be sure. So then they applied Aquaseal around the inside lip of the ring system. Good as good now, I've since dived the...

Solutions for leaking silicone wrist seals needed!

How do dry gloves go in caves and ship wrecks without the tactile feel?

Solutions for leaking silicone wrist seals needed!

No silicone grease when fitting them, so I think I will refit them with some. I thought about getting the smaller size but the shop was trying to dissuade me from that. I guess I will have to have them order in some. I'll be able to swap the new pair over and hopefully they allow me to swap the...

    leaky Santi drysuits?

That seems logical to me. Of course your shell suit needs to have a bit more space. But, Santi should account for that.

Thanks for your advice. Going to try my friends bioseals first and then maybe his smaller seals too.

Solutions for leaking silicone wrist seals needed!

I already usually do that. Usually an inch past my wrist bones.

Solutions for leaking silicone wrist seals needed!

Would the smaller wrist seal be too tight though? I can go to the shop today and see if i can swap the seals for smaller size.

Solutions for leaking silicone wrist seals needed!

A mate of mine had those but I really want to avoid that route if possible.

Solutions for leaking silicone wrist seals needed!

So the latex seals on my suit reached the end of their life span and i decided to put on Si Tech QCS quick change seals with silicone seals. My first dive last night and the left wrist leaked badly. Through some investigative work this morning I figured that it is because of the tendons in my...

    leaky Santi drysuits?

My friend has a Santi E.Motion suit for about 6 months, maybe 50+ dives and last night her boots were leaking terribly. She told me that it has been gradually getting worse every dive. The shop told her that it is a known issue.

    Pool Practice Diving in Melbourne

Mornington Pier is fantastic for training dives as it reaches 8-10m depth and is well sheltered from the ocean, usually quite calm underneath. Only issue is the poor visibility. Ocean Divers are fantastic. They've been my go-to diving shop since I moved back to Melbourne a year and a half ago.

    Long hose without can light

I've never used a canister torch. I tuck my long hose into my waistband. I find that my buckle tends to hold the hose in place.

    Scratches/Perdix

I can definitely recall reading that I was supposed to leave the protector on. I've put about 30 or 40 dives on my Shearwater so far and I've already chipped the protector a bit, and have scratched up the casing a decent amount.
