I always use bolt snaps on the neck. Always doing rough seas boat dives so I just hop in and wrap my bungee under water. Loops are long enough they have no effect on trim
I have both the hollis and DR sidemount sets. Both breathe great. Like others have mentioned you have 360 the turret with 2 hoses attached (single tank), but thats easy enough to orientate properly.
ya it must just be that the x-large snap bolts are too long and let the rear of the tanks hang too low when on the square rings. the stealth butt plate is only 50$ from europe, so maybe i'll just get that anyhow. another place to clip off the wreck reel etc as well when using al80.
I dove HP100 steels last weekend and there was no way I was getting them to trim parallel with my body when they were full at 3500 psi while using the square rings or any waist band d clips. Sure once they dropped to 2000psi, they were much easier to align. But that was after an entire 1st...
i leave my bolt snaps attached to the chest d-rings. My paracord is long enough it has no affect on anything the bungee is doing, but short enough its not slack all over.
what I have
1. 26" or 30" short hose on the left with a necklace, 5' hose on the right with a snap bolt.
2 90* adapters on both hoses
3. bottom: highland quick release cam band, triglide with extra large snap bolt using paracord.
top: medium snap bolt with paracord around tank valve for...
ok single tank, but does it have to be back mount? dont see the need to rent a back mount BCD when I already have a nice familiar sidemount harness that can run a single tank. of course with 2 regs on the 1st stage
Selling my Hollis sidemount regulators:
You get :
2x DC1 1st stages
High performance over-balanced first stage provides progressively greater intermediate pressure as depth and gas density increases for superior gas delivery under the most extreme conditions
Swivel turret allows for ideal...
