simply a STEEL BAND MADE FOR THE HEALTHWAYS 72'S I HAVE AND THE BACKPLATE they are 1.5 inches wide and made of steel that have a carriage bolt clamping them to the tank and at the same time securing to the lip on the backplate

i forgot to mention if it wasnt obvious that i have 2 backplates and harness's and thought maybe could use the bands from my singles to mate together to construct a doubles band system?

I was wondering if the bands that are used on my single backplate can be somehow used to secure doubles by mating them?

I cant do anything but agree and maybe the analogy is slightly off base nonetheless is understood.Since we dont have to do such things out of neccesity as the founders once did there is no point and i do understand .I am now looking at wings and backplate /harness system.

Why is it that after seeing countless people in the past using doubles with no obvious bouyancy control devices able to do so and now it is seemingly an impossibility?

thanks w/w for your help.i have 2 back plates but they are for singles and so will have to wait until momma will allow me to blow more money on more gadgets LOL.the backplates i have are for singles and so wouldnt serve the purpose.actually my intent with diving doubles is for shallow metal...

thanks fred and i meant to include but to lazy at the time of typing that my steels are bare galv. and are 1/2 npt and the valves both were removed with some friendly persuasion and are useable and i put new burst discs in them and yes i have seen the ones on ebay and was surprised at the asking...
