Fstbttms is right about one thing, money talks... here in Florida those who can afford it take their boats to the Bahamas to get painted, so I imagine I'll be seeing both tin and copper paints for awhile.

You could also try the adapters from Keene Engineering, manufacturer of mining, prospecting, diving equipment and more! - I've used them to put together various hookah and air tool set-ups using scuba 1st stages and tool hoses..

And when they do break down and have it painted, they go to the cheapest yard and get the cheapest paint with almost no anti-fouling properties. It's the same here in Sarasota, we have to do'em at least every month, and every 2 weeks if the paint is over a year old. With water temps close to 90, you can get a heavy coat of barnacles on the hull after a month. I generally carry a wide variety of tools, pads, and brushes in a floating tool...

An old fashioned inner-tube works well, too. I have a couple with the valve core removed, and just use the valve cap to seal it. I inflate it, center it on the prop, and lash each blade to it. For the big stuff though, muddiver is right- I try to sling some lines , and use a cheap Harbour...

Down here in Florida, they're just simple saltwater brine shrimp. At certain times of year, the water is thick with them. As a result, I get to be very popular with all the neighborhood cats...

Yeah, the floating hoses can be a pain. I always worry about it getting sucked up into a passing boats prop, you really have to be aware of where it is all the time. On occasion, I'll take a 5# weight on a shackle and let it hang loose on the hose. It'll draw some of the slack away from the...
