I thought that I'd add a Countdown Timer to my SB signature, for this Invasion.
Apparently, though, the countdown timer is no longer an avaiable option here on scubaboard.
:(
It would have been fun to see it for this trip.
I count @67 days until we set foot again on Bonaire!
After well over 10 years of visiting Bonaire at least 1X a year, and then going Cold Turkey since C19 hit, we are counting the days!

At BTS in Newark today my brother, Dale was chatting with the folks from The Plaza, where the SB Bonaire Invasion, 2024 is staying.
Unlike me, he's never set foot on that property.
He seemed pleased with his research.
Yes, so far everything is just effecting the Eastern coast.

So far this seems to be limited to the east ( or Wild) side, while nearly all the diving sites are to the west.
That might impact us less as we are diving, but it can be very bad for...
Mostly I am just focusing on walking more, to build the leg back up, and prepare for shore diving again.
I had to stop for @ a week because I overdid trying to hike @ 2 weeks ago without the support of my heavy hiking boots, and I injured my bad foot. It healed quickly when I had no choice but...
I doubt I could remake the ones I used to make for less than the $14 I just spent on the replacement, and that does not count how far out of my way a marine supply store is from out here.
I used to work near one, so it was not a special trip for materials.
Yup. I made a few for family and friends after seeing bowlofpetunias and thanksforallthefish using them on our Oz trip, now long ago.
Somehow I misplaced mine.
This replacement probably cost me less th as n what i spent on the originals.
For travel, I've never regretted making that change.
I...
The one I had made for myself previously was a bit of 1" webbing, a swivel clip and a snap buckle, all from a marine supply store.
There is a link with the "10 Tips" video that Roxanne shared above, for this one, which is very similar, and low $ enough for me to just buy a replacement.
This is...
I just replaced the fin keeper that I had made for Oz and Boaire shore diving.
My original has disappeared.
As mentioned in the 10 Things video that Roxanne shared above, keeping your hands free by clipping your fins and even your mask to you rig on entries and exits can make life much easier...
Alright, I "might" have overdone the workout for the fused ankle in just sneakers yesterday...
I'm back into hiking boots and hobbling badly today, but I still proved that I can get away with a bit more abuse than before the surgery.
...and even hobbling, the pup and I got in >2.5 miles today...
