i have an EM5 with the Oly housing and a ton of lenses, as well as a TG4.
No doubt the EM5 is better in many ways. And a LOT more expensive.
But I'm very impessed with the TG4.
No doubt it is the best entry (as in non-housing-oriented) UW camera out there.
I even let my 5 yr old grandson...
Update
Tape over the writing on the lens and the 58mm filter adapter ring worked fine. 62mm covers more area, but I didn't see any flash when using the 58.
So .. if I understand now. The Shade does two things ...
1) The wide portion is about 62m wide and blocks extraneous light from the flash. A 62mm stepup would do the same.
2) The threaded portion is offset and a few mm wide. This blocks reflections from the labels on the front lens...
Hi
I have an EM-5 with the Oly housing and a new Zen WA100 dome.
Currently, just the 14/42 lens.
Do you need the Oly shade ring ?
I've read that at will keep the internal flash from reflecting off the back of the dome/port.
I can see how this may happen .. but is it an issue in real...
Maybe :D Depends what you got!
And I see you're pretty close to me. I'll be up to Kitchener sometime over the next week or so.
I'm headed up to Toby for the Scrub The Tub harbor cleanup tomorrow. I'll pm you when I'm back.

It's not purple. ;-) It works well, and I like the rigid top rail for handling and mounting.
There housing mounts very firmly with two thumb screws.
Used some neoprene and waterproof tape for...
Depends on your definition ;-)
The coiled sync cord has a lot of 'memory' and wants to re-coil a bit after it cools.
I didn't get my piece fully straight .. but it's much much better than before.
It's usable. Picture here Microsoft services (hopefully the onedrive links works )

Hi Furnari
It's been a while .. What are your thoughts on the wet diopter and the zen dome?
Worth it ?
I think the folks at Aquacam - AquaCam.nl - De Onderwaterfotografie Specialist can make a flip adapter for the Zen.. but I'm curious to know if it's worth trying.
In general, if the water is silty or poor vis, then a thin pencil beam works best. It cuts down on the back-scatter.
Similar to how you high-beams cause a white-out when driving in fog.
You can't go wrong with the I-torch series of lights.
Much less expensive than others and the quality...
Hi all
I have a long coiled Sea&Sea sync cord, much like the one in this link.

I need to permanently uncoil and straighten a 12 inch section in the middle, leaving two coiled...
Thanks guys
Just so I understand .. these ring kits sandwich the suits latex seal between the inner and outer cuff ring.?
And this doesn't affect or damage the seal?
Do I have this right ?

Never mind ;-)
Youtube is a wonderful thing...
Hi All
Looking for a recommendation for dry gloves for my Fusion One.
I'd prefer ones that can be removed like some of the viking models,
I'm a little scared about damaging my seals
Anyone tried using the Oly 12-40 Pro in the Oly EM5 housing and port. Or Zen Port?
Does it fit from a 'girth' point of view?
I imagine it might hit the back of the port glass.

Well, that was a silly question.
I took the housing and...
Nudibrancho mentioned adapting a macro adapter to the Zen WA100 port.
Curious how that would work with the WA100's curved surface.
Does anyone have a reference/link showing how this can be done or bought ?
