    Refreshing The Topics

The color coding on the old board showed when there were new posts in different sections of the board, like Zeagle in the vendors section. It appears that the new board is supposed to have a similar feature, but it does not seem to refresh. For instance, The Zeagle section hasn't had a new post...

SP Jet fin foot pocket repair

The foot pocket on my old set of jets is starting to tear at the top of the arch. Has anyone ever successfully repaired a foot pocket? If so, what did you use? I have a shoe repair department and aqua seal at my disposal but I thought I would ask before I try to reinvent the wheel. These are...

    Removing Bungee Cords

Is there a good reason to leave the bungee cords on my Zeagle 24# wing or can they be removed without issues? It seems like a small enough wing that it shouldn't need them. I asked this on the Zeagle forum but didn't get any answers.

Bungee cords on Zeagle Express tech wing

I have an Express tech with the 24 # wing. The bungees on it are strong enough that I can not fully inflate it manually. Has anyone dove it with either lighter bungees or no bungees? I've got a pretty good idea of the positives, but I'd like to hear the negatives of removing them.

    Gen 1 Dive Caddy

I tried out my dive caddy last week on a trip to Mexico and was very pleased. It's easy to pack, easy to carry and easy to stow in the overhead bins. The dive op thought it was a magic bag because of all of the equipment I pulled out of it, including a large mesh gear bag, wetsuit, change of...

    Dacor Speargun

I just obtained a Dacor speargun and would like to find out a little more about it. The box states the model as CGL. The gun is aluminum, 39" long from the butt of the handle to the tip of the spear, has one band, but looks like it may be made for two and has a black plastic handle that says...

Dacor Turbo Flex vs Scubapro Jet Fins

I scored both pairs of fins for $10 per pair this weekend. They seem similar in shape, but the one major difference that I noticed being the direction of the vent. The Dacor are vented exactly opposite of the Jet and weigh a lot less. I haven't had either pair in the water yet. Are the fins...

Wings - Stupid question of the day

When a wing is given a lift rating, is it for freshwater or saltwater? I see every company advertising lift, but if a wing is rated for 24# in salt, it would be substantially less in freshwater. This would also throw the wing calculator for a loop. Does anyone know for sure?

    First Assist

I realize that for most, this isn't a big deal, but it was for me. I performed my first diver assist while in Cancun at the end of February. The diver had lost his tank and was struggling and I was close enough to help. The divemaster wasn't too far away, but had a new diver by the arm. He...
