    Cozumel Vs. Belize?

If you have not even been to Belize then i am afraid you have loast all credability in my eyes. Better to speak of YOUR experiences than keep regurgitating others. The fact remains that there are good decent operators and people like you who constanly bash Belize as being some wild west frontier...

    Cozumel Vs. Belize?

I will repeat................If you have dived with so many bad operators NAME them. Sorry all you seem to do is keep saying the same BS. There are operators who cut corners sure, but there are also those who strive to give good, honest, safe service. You seem to imply (and that is what it boils...

    Cozumel Vs. Belize?

I am not quite sure which operation you dive with but if the DM are taking divers to 150+ ft as you say then you should name them. I suspect you will not do this as all you seem you to do is bank on about how dangerous diving in Belize is. You could always just go some place else

Scuba School Belize, now open on Ambergris Caye

"Scuba School Belize has been established by 2 instructors who have owned a successful dive center in the past and now feel it is time to offer proper scuba training in Belize. This is not to say that several dive centers on Ambergris Caye do not do proper training" Very pretentious...

The state of the diving tourism industry in Belize

Exactly my point. AWMIII seems unable to back up his outlandish statement.

The state of the diving tourism industry in Belize

peterbj7 i do not think that anyone is saying that diving in Belize and specifically San Pedro is perfect. i have been to Belize several times both diving and just visiting and i do not accept that all operators attitude is one of carelessness and protectionism. There are improvements that can...

The state of the diving tourism industry in Belize

You are becoming obnoxiuos, while you have some valid points you also have little understanding of what you speak of. All "shops in AC" are definitely not how you describe. Again man up and name names, do not hide behind huge generalizations.

The state of the diving tourism industry in Belize

I am afraid that what you are saying is simply not true of all dive operators in Belize. There are bad instructors/DM in any location as there are equally good ones. Sure there is room for improvement but to paint all with the same brush is at best wrong and at worst just plain stupid and...

    dive shops in Belize??

We dived with Hugh Parkey's and had a great time. All of the staff really enjoyed what they did and took really good care of us. The crew made sure we got the most out of the diving while still being safe and fun.

Aqua Scuba - Open water course

My son has been checking out various shops to do his open water certification. Aqua Scuba first quoted him $375 + rental of the book, then dropped to $300 including rental of the book and certification in 2 days. All the other places said 3 day minimum and you needed your own book(which you...

    Aqua Dives

Peter I have been following this forum for for a whilee, having visited Belize sometime ago, and you appear very opinionated for someone who does not own,run or work in any dive operation and by his own admission only teaches on an "ad hoc basis".I am curious how you seem to know so much...
