I really don't see fever as a symptom of DSC, and the feeling of the eyes burning doesn't check much with DCS also. Physical stress and getting in contact with a lot of people is the way to get a viral infection. But anyway, it's hard to tell something over the internet. Being conservative as...
That doesn't sound to me as a DCS at all... Sounds much more like a viral infection. Redness and swelling in the ears could be explained by the viral infection also. Anyway, better safe than sorry. Hope you are ok!
I described mine in this thread:

The best path would be the slowest. Dive a LOT. Dive in various locations with different people. Also be open minded to various equipment setups, and at least try some.
The fast way, well, it`s just faster.........
My fiancee used a neoprene suit in a 80 degree water. It was unintentional, our travel guide kept telling us that the best choice for diving in malpelo was in a drysuit. She actually loved to dive dry, it wasn't an issue. But she fells cold very easily, not really the average person.
Back on...
DivemasterDennis,
It's hard to see that some dive shops are only after money. It's very exausting even for its employees. Some of the instructors of the dive shop I got certified got tired of this way of always looking for the costumer's wallet and they ended up teaching for another dive shop...
She was very sad by the end of the day. She was expecting to be diving like an experienced diver whitin a few minutes in the water. Seeing how hard it is will allow her to pursue more and more training and diving time, even if it is in a deep pool. It really pays of in the end, when you diving...
Yestarday we went to the deep pool.
Weight check again, and then practice descending on a line. She had some problems to descend, she was feeling a little anxious and wasn't able to fully deflate her BC, she was a little horizontal while trying to do it. This was something that happened to...
Hey everyone,
This text is about what I'm experiencing this week and my history as a diver. This week my mother-in-law is geeting certified. I'm following her classes everyday for at least a little time, both inside the pool or in the classroom, and I can see how bad my instruction was. I...
My fiancee uses a halcyon aluminum backplate with a hollis wing. We own the same regulator, a Mares Abyss. It's a metal reg, and tough she was problems with her jaw getting sore because of sleping issues, the regulator was never a problem, the only thing we adjusted was the mouthpiece which we...
I was using 16 lbs of weight in that dive if I remember correctly.
I don't like integrated weight bc's that much. I had an experience of someone losing it at the surface because it wasn't very well placed. My plan is to buy one of those DUI weight systems. They seen to be very comfortable and...
No, I don't have all my weight in my weight belt. I usually use weight pockets in my cam bands and I also use a stell back plate. This time I was not using the pockets, but now that you're saying I will start to use them back again. I hadn't put a lot of air in my suit when the whole thing...
Hi everyone,
This happened to me on my last dive trip, on Malpelo in the beging of this month. Malpelo is known for its heavy currents, making it a very challenging site to anyone not used to currents. We were on a liveaboard, and before the trip our instructor told us that was suposed to be...
My DM in the last liveaboard I dived used yellow. He was the easiest person to identify from the group. We're at Malpelo, can't say that there isn't many sharks there. By the way, have you seen a yellow seal? :eyebrow:
Hey all,
Me and my fiancee just got back from a amazing liveaboard trip to Malpelo - Colombia and we're willing to take our next step on diving. We've been certified for about 1 year and we have about 75 dives each, most of them in sites where the current was strong and the vis was limited...
