I dove sidemount several years ago as an alternative to back mounted doubles. It was different, but fine. It seems like a good alternative where a low profile is important, as in cave or wreck applications. Or for a shore dive where you could put first one tank, then the other in the water as a...
Problem is that many rental tanks are 20 years old and the threads aren’t necessarily in great shape. I have had more trouble seating my DIN valve than I have had with oring issues with the yoke adapter. The next first stage I buy will be yoke.
We did a Bonfire dive on BON with Martijn of Home - Twilight Diving - Private and Personalized Night Diving Trips in Bonaire. Good guy and a fun dive. Similar to blackwater but done from shore in 40 feet of water.

After many years of use I had a YSD2J element burn out. I was told there are no replacement elements. So I now have 2 YSD3s (happy with them), one working backup YSD2J, and one paperweight.

Sony 90 f2.8
Tamron 90 f2.8
Canon 60 f2.8 macro w/metabones adapter
These are all sharp lenses. The Sony 90 was most likely used for the vast majority of macro images you have seen which were taken on a Sony body. It is always compared...
